Review of Deadly Friend (1986) by Eric C — 29 Nov 2009
Another forgotten Craven hit. This is probably my least favorite of those not associated with Craven's best known work, but its still is a good enough film to see.
Basically what we get is a Romeo & Juliet meets Robotic Frankenstein. A young scientist puts the chip of a robot into the dead body of a neighbor he likes and all hell breaks loose.
That's the jist of the film, its not the best concept in the world, but it keeps you entertained to an extent. The ending is a bit sad, than eerie.
I recommend seeing this film, but only is you're a Craven fan. Its a required taste.
3 out of 5 stars.
