Review of Dead Space: Downfall (2008) by Jim S — 09 Apr 2009
Despite it's crappy animation and inaccuracies between the game and film (Necromorphs couldn't run), it's extremely graphic and a very interesting look at the Ishimura prior to Isaac's arrival, but it's no where NEAR as scary as the game, which is very disappointing.
The characters are interesting, the voice acting is superb and the plot is... lacking. I don't know, I really liked the game, but the movie just doesn't live up to the awesomeness that is Dead Space.
Worth watching to get the full story (you should also watch / read the animated comics), but if you're looking for a good horror story, Dead Space: Downfall is probably not the place to look.
