Review of Dead Space: Downfall (2008) by Brandon L — 25 Nov 2012
As a fan of the game series, this film really was bad. First off, this would have been a lot better in CGI or live action. A lot of the characters and Necromorphs just look goofy, and this is supposed to be a film of one of the most visually unappealing and disturbing games. The dialogue is very simple and just composed of vulgarities. I think one of the bigger problems however is that Dead Space is a game about dismemberment, and considering that you are not playing, the dismemberment and gore-fest is even more redundant than in the games, and the animation in which I said does not help.
The only thing that I find good about this is the acting. Which is done well, I think, but certainly not a saving grace for this.
