Review of Dead Space: Aftermath (2011) by Benjamin M — 07 Oct 2012
Aftermath doesn't break new ground but it does present it's story in a slightly less conventional manner. Unveiling events from the perspective of four different characters and giving us four different directors and animation styles.
While none of the stories give us radically different animation styles, they have different flavours and are far superior to the cg animation that bridges the individual stories. This is easily the worst cg animation I have seen since the style came into being.
The voice acting is passable, and the story is ok, but not exactly gripping. As the follow up to Downfall, this film falls on its face. Downfall was far a far more enjoyable and quality experience. I recommend you watch that film in the Dead Space franchise and forget about this one.
