Review of Dead Snow (2009) by Jon W — 01 Mar 2011
I would be lying if I said that I didn't have fun during this Norwegian Nazi Zombie horror comedy. There is plenty of gore including someone being saved from a falling related death by holding onto an aforementioned Nazi Zombie's intestines like a rope.
It begins with a group of medical students going to a cabin with absolutely no cell phone signal while waiting for Sara who decided that it would be best to trek to the cabin alone. Guess how many lines Sara has in the movie! It has a lot of new ways to kill both college students and Nazi Zombies and other ways that have already been though of in better horror-comedies such as Evil Dead 2, but it does have enough humor and excess gore from stupid college students acting in cliches such as going off by themselves, setting their cabin on fire accidentally, having sex in the outhouse, etc.
to be enjoyable by those who would enjoy such movies. Unfortunately, I'm one of them.
