Review of Dead Silence (1997) by Sylvester K — 03 Nov 2011
Enjoyable old fashioned horror that deals with the small town curse and the creepy element of puppets very well. The production design of the theatre is really good and Mary Shaw is initially creepy, as are her puppets.
I couple if things stop it from being a great horror movie, including a lacklustre lead, a familiarity that plagues the film and one action too far from our vengeful lady. Overall though very good and a good twist at the end.
