Review of Dead Ringers (1988) by Paul B — 09 Jan 2009
One of Cronenberg's most strikingly odd and disturbing creations, Dead Ringers is a masterpiece of unsettling unpredictability. The premise could almost be suited to a comedy (two twin brothers sharing one girl) but it son spirals down into something truly dark and unique.
The wonderful Jeremy Irons gives not one but two Oscar-worthy performances and the Greek tragedy-style ending will give you chills. Brilliant.
