"Carpe Diem Lads!! Seize The Day. Make Your Lives Extraordinary!".

Dead Poet's Society is one hell of a drama, its a highly toned, darkly atmospheric, beautifully shot and brilliantly crafted work of art. its a state of the art drama that was up for multiple awards nominations at the time it was released and deservingly so. Director Peter Wier (The Truman Show, Master And Commander: The Far Side Of The World, The Way Back) constructed a completely jaw dropping masterwork. It has a great many beautiful elements, but the spectacular cinematography, camerawork, scenery and set locations stand out to me. Peter Weir and company have given us a complete optical pleasure that was crafted without any fancy CGI or special effects, just man made camerawork throughout. Its a highly enjoyable and absolutely astoundingly spot-on period piece that's masterful in execution and storytelling. Absolutely fantastic throughout, absorbing and gripping, shocking and wonderous, dark and brooding, brilliantly executed and endlessly engaging, The Dead Poets Society is arguably Peter Weir's best film. That's saying a lot given the fact that this man has helmed some spectacular films in his legendary career.

Robin Williams gives a legendary performance throughout this undeniably larger than life performance is a blast to watch. Williams was nominated for yet another Award in this role. Robert Sean Leonard and Ethan Hawker both were shot into superstardom with their exquisite roles in this film.
