Robin Williams is really great, but the bulk of "Dead Poet's Society" is manipulative and contrived to such a degree that it borders on ridiculous. The Robert Sean Leonard subplot is one of the dumbest story lines ever.
It's a shame seeing good ideas and good actors go to waste.
