Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Prach P — 14 May 2013
From the beginning of the film, the author throws us into an old Protestant boys boarding school. One by one, the boys, inspired by their new English Literature teacher, learned to pursue what they think is meaningful outside the cage of 'tradition, discipline and excellence'.
This film has great symbolism and representations. From the 'standing up on the desk', to Perry's opening the window and laying the ivy crown on the snow.
Plus, fantastic soundtracks.
