Review of Dead Man's Shoes (2004) by Nickie L — 13 Oct 2008
Great screenplay, great performances. I think I love Paddy Considine and Shane Meadows (both wrote this). Some directors have recurring motifs in their films and it seems lazy and unimaginative, for others it's a badge that links their films together all nice, like.
Sweeping panoramas of dreary suburbia are Meadows' thing and I likes it.
