Review of Dead Man Walking (1995) by Richard C — 04 Dec 2009
This was a movie that was able to take a dramatic look at a long-standing issue regarding the death penalty and to give it a human face... I don't think that it would matter much if you were pro or con for the death penalty because it did a good job showing both sides - stellar performances by Sean Penn (as per usual) and Susan Sarandon (always gets into her roles).
Even if this movie was not based on the true experiences of Sarandon's character - the characters are so believable that it wouldn't matter. I highly recommend this movie to those in the RT community who has yet to see it!
