Dead Man Walking is the story of Mathew Poncelet(Sean Penn), a convict on death row for participating in the murder of a young couple. Murders in which he insists to be innocent of. Nearing his execution, Poncelet seeks guidance and the chance of an appeal by reaching out to a Nun( Susan Surandon), whom he soon befriends and confides in.
Sean Penn gives one of his best and most convincing performances.
