Review of Dead Man Walking (1995) by Ian F — 06 Jan 2014
For a debut film this is extremely well done; the visuals might be a bit heavy-handed, but really the are artful and complex, working well. It becomes more of an editing trick than a ploy. Very well done.
Phenomenally acted (Sean Penn is so young), Susan Sarandon proves she deserved her Oscar. I just didn't like the soundtrack: Eddie Vedder, sure, East Indian, why? Otherwise, a very well crafted film.
