Review of Dead Bang (1989) by Brad W — 01 Jan 2009
Not bad. Don Johnson's hard-drinking divorced LASO detective is miles away from the glam and glitter of the character he was playing on TV's MIAMI VICE at the time. Only the beard stubble stayed the same.
John Frankenheimer never returned to the heights he had acheived in the 1960s with THE MACHURIAN CANDIDATE and SECONDS, but this film isn't half bad and is superior to 1985's pedestrian 52 PICKUP.
One of a series of films in the late 1980s that featured far-right wing white supremacists as the villians.
