Review of Dead & Breakfast (2004) by Dan Z — 13 Mar 2012
An extra self aware horror film that knows its a bad movie, but never lets up on the silliness. In short this film has balls. The acting is stock and cheesy, but executed without seam or remorse. This film owns up to its cheesiness and rewards its audience with moments of shameless absurdity.
Seriously... how can one NOT enjoy a movie where the zombie junk band starts singing a cannibal-themed country song while while redneck zombies execute a square dance version of The Thriller? How can one not love that!? in short, this is not a movie you watch for the plot or the acting, this is a movie that you watch for the fun of it.
so feel free to crack open a beer or too and enjoy. as far as shitty horror films go, this one is almost lovable^^.
