Review of D.C. Cab (1983) by Robert B — 16 Apr 2013
This movie is a gigantic pile of crap, but it is an entertaining one. This movie is just sloppily written, acted, and directed, but still. First off, I am going to guess Gary Busey didn't do any of the lines scripted for him, as he seems like he was on one gigantic cocaine binge while he shot this movie.
He is just off the wall in this movie, but he isn't the only one. Mr. T basically takes B.A. from the A-Team to the big screen, and still is always interested in helping kids and whores, as he shows up the local pimp with his tricked out taxi and advises a career change to a baker for one woman.
The character of Tyrone is all over the place, playing the token black character and then switching it up and trying to be serious at times. The movie kind of just wonders for a good part of it, and then some how climaxes with a robbery-kidnapping that only the good ole D.
C. Cab company can solve. This movie is an absolute mess, but it certainly does gives plenty of laughs, not so much on purpose.
