Review of Dazed and Confused (1993) by Jerome K — 04 Sep 2014
Richard Linklater excels at crafting subdued, yet compellingly genuine movies. I'm a big fan of the "Before..." trilogy and after seeing "Boyhood", I thought I'd finally check out the film that brought him to everyone's attention.
Most high school films are either over the top or full of angst, but D&C is a light-hearted, honest take on high school in the 70's. While that may not appeal to everyone ( the slow pace especially may have some bored), older viewers who stick around will most likely find themselves contemplating their own past high school experience.
