Review of Dazed and Confused (1993) by Rachel S — 10 Aug 2011
I think this was the first Richard Linklater film I saw, and what a perfect evocation of an era it is. AND IT IS SOOOOO FUNNY! The cast is great, too, filled with stars before they made it big. Ben Affleck is a particular treat as 5th-year senior a-hole.
Lots of cursing and drinking here, but I guess realism required that. (Although that wasn't my teenage experience.) The soundtrack, too, is just perfect. This film is a must see.
