Review of Days of Thunder (1990) by Jonathan B — 08 Feb 2011
While this wasn't an elite racing movie like Grand Prix, it was very enjoyable at times.
The racing on the track was pretty wild and the dialog wasn't too bad for the most part either.
But, like most modern racing movies, this one too distorts the real mentality of racing and makes it too predictable at times and very unrealistic.
Not to mention there was too much non racing stuff going on in the movie, such as Cole and his doctor's bed scene, which I found completely unnecessary.
However, it did end on a high note with Cole winning the Daytona 500, so it's a passable movie.
Not a great movie, but pretty good nonetheless.
