Review of Days of Thunder (1990) by Baurushan J — 01 Dec 2012
Words cannot describe the fact that this movie was so good yet these moronic critics have hated on this classic sports drama. There's also that dumbass Emanuel Levy who describes this film as formulaic- bullshit! That's like saying The Specialist is too formulaic- oh no you did not! Please continue with your dumb, stupid life cos you're wasting my time along with these other nerve-wrecking critics.
Anyway this is my review of Days Of Thunder starring Tom Cruise, Robert Duvall, Nicole Kidman and Cary Elwes. The story is about stock driver Cole Trickle who has loads of talent but doesn't know how to channel that into success as he picked racing to begin with.
When Tim commissions Harry to build a car for Cole and race it, Harry teaches Cole about the philosophy of winning and channeling his raw talent into success or how Harry puts it- "controlling something that's out of control.
" Cole later comes into conflict with Rowdy Burns and then their hi-jinks ends them both in hospital. Because of his injuries, Rowdy is forced to withdraw from the competition and later becomes Cole's supporter and friend while Cole meets Dr.
Claire Lewicki, a brain specialist who supervises him whilst his injury. His health is restored and he can begins to race again supported by Harry's every word. Now he must compete against Russ Wheeler who not only wants to see him defeated but permanently disabled.
The story maybe predictable by the so-called "formula" that everyone's complaining about or that one douche I mentioned above but all the actors, the strong writing and the effort put into the directing and producing easily brushes aside every single complaint from the film except for everyone who just bitched about this for no reason.
Directed by the late Tony Scott, this movie is one of his best movies he's ever directed amongst True Romance and Top Gun. Days of Thunder gets a 10/10.
