One of the, if not THE most beutiful picture ever put to film. This movie is just composed of gorgeous shot after gorgeous shot. There isnt a whole lot concerning plot, but what is there is all that is needed.
Its very understated in this area and its effective. The voiceover narration is perfect, and the performances are great. But what is so stunning here is the cinematography, everything is illuminated in golden light, at dusk, shot in Alberta.
They are some of the most beautiful images ever seen in a movie, even now 30 years later. Required viewing.
