Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Alec B — 23 Sep 2015
Yes every shot is beautiful, but more importantly it's an entirely immersive experience. Malick's unique style and narrative choices (gliding in and out of scenes, half heard dialogue, sporadic voice-over narration) makes the film realistic and ethereal almost simultaneously.
An unforgettable experience.
