Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Stephen C — 06 Nov 2007
One of the most Beautiful films ever made.
Malick shot the film during whats called Magic Hour where after the Sun has gone in there is still somelight left.
The film simply oozes beauty from every pore from the huge landscapes to the smallest intimate details.
The actors too are fine but its Malicks eye for detail that catches the viewer here.
That he fell off the radar for almost 20 years is baffling until the masterful Thin Red Line.
