Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Owen C — 01 Mar 2008
If the dialogue was stripped away, this film would still tell a powerful story. Days of Heaven is a famously beautiful film, but besides the cinematography's own merits it motivates the feeling of the characters and the mood in the viewer.
Days of Heaven is the rare film where everything works and works harmoniously, from Ennio Morricone's score to Linda Manz's strange "hey foxymophandlemomma that's me"-esque voice.
An exceptional work.
