I don't think I've ever seen a film like this. The story is nothing special and is mostly told through beautiful cinematography. You'd think this would make the film drag, but it doesn't because no one shot lasts more than ten or fifteen seconds, so it moves right along and feels like snapshots of the past.

What I didn't like was the narrator: she plays almost no part in the plot, is developed in no way, and seems totally unaffected by the tragic events of the film.
