Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Michael O — 18 Apr 2011
I may be going out on a limb, but I'd say this is Terrence Maclick's best; a tight, focused story, and possibly the most beautiful cinematography in the history of film, this is where Malick really came into his own (note the close-ups on all the little creatures scurrying around out of sight and the elliptical narration); a masterpiece.
