Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by T-Hom N — 21 Apr 2011
A strong film, whose strength dwells in it's beautiful cinematography. the story has so much potential, but as is true with many of malick's films, story is not the point here. still, these great characters leave the viewer glued to the screen, and the endless sweeping shots of wheat fields, farmhouses, and landscapes make this an enjoyable experience.
malick's next film shows a great maturation of style and substance, but constant homages to this film are evident.
