I haven't enjoyed the Malick films I've seen previously, but Days of ?Heaven was very entertaining. The extremes of human emotion and a love triangle are narrated through the eyes of a child, in a film that has a distinct look and sound which gave it a sense of very fitting 'otherworldliness'.
