Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Todd C — 10 Jan 2008
Terrence Malick's films (all four of them) are all kind of boring. They're long, slow, beautifully shot, and filled with voiceovers. Out of all of them, my pick for his best is Days of Heaven, with its classic story drawn from the Bible's Book of Ruth, good acting by Richard Gere (!), awesome cinematography, and good score by Ennio Morricone.
