Review of Days of Glory (2006) by Terror A — 17 Sep 2007
Once again a Foreign film that ayone intrested in World War 2 must see (French w/ English Subtitles). The film is the true story of a Moroccan Regiment called to duty to fight for france. During Frances darkest hour these men from her colonies, who had never seen mainland France, but still felt a since of duty, volunteer to fight to win her back.
The fight through Africa, Italy, and finally France, only to find that the French people (not all), don't want them in the country, only their blood to win it back. Very sad story. These men were denied their pensions after the war, because the were not born in France.
First France gives themselves to the Germans, and then when someone helps to win it back they send them packing. A very good story. I recommend a must see. Great actors also.
