Review of Daylight (1996) by Dave C — 29 Jun 2007
Hey, it's another dramatic role from Stallone. I have often argued that he is one of those typecast action movie staples that actually can act, and for the most part does movies with a particular sense of depth.
People didn't fully realize this until Copland came out, but this is another one of those films that he really does half decent in. It's got all of the elements that it needs to make it entertaining and watchable, some decent performances, a good plot with opportunity for tension, and good pacing.
It doesn't take much of a risk, but just simply stays the course, and it works.
