I think it's the most mature performance I've seen from Kat Dennings, although it gets lost in a conventional plot that doesn't go beyond a sardonic tone that hardly leaves an impression.
It's certainly a bit smarter than the average drama of this nature, but just enough to distinguish itself a bit, yet not enough to be any better.
