Review of Daybreakers (2010) by Austin B — 15 Jan 2012
Humans catch a virus (could it be the plague of the 21st Century?) turning them into Vampires (Vampires! Oy! Can we maybe try to come up with some new kind of anti-hero?). Unfortunately the need for blood to feed them is greater than the actual supply. Will Ethan Hawke be able to save them? Fortunately Willam DaFoe has found a way to turn vampires back into humans. Granted, it's painful, but, worth it. Unfortunately, Sam Neill sees how this will affect his blood manufacturing business and tries to stop them. In the end will justice win out or will Corporate Australia once again rule the day?
Of course watching Vampires and their path of destruction on the big screen was worth it you could wait for video. Worth renting just for the fact that there is no one named Edward or Jacob and no having to choose teams.
