Review of Daybreakers (2010) by Seth Y — 19 Jan 2015

Daybreakers isn't a great film by any means, but I did have a lot of fun with it. It's hard to be unique when it comes to something like the vampire genre, so it was cool seeing a different take on the entire thing.

The cast is what really made me want to see this, featuring Ethan Hawke in the lead role, as well as Sam Neill and Willem Dafoe. I always enjoy each of those guys so I got a kick out of seeing them all together.

The execution of this film is iffy at times and some of the dialogue is downright cheesy, but I didn't really let that take away from the fun. Unfortunately, the ending was also quite disappointing.

However, all that being said, I never expect greatness when I'm watching these type of movies. This was a decent flick!
