Review of Day Watch (2006) by Lee C — 14 Mar 2009
Having recently read the first Night Watch book, I was able to just about follow this - so I pity anyone who hasn't, because they will simply not know what the hell is going on. Visually stunning, if a bit too manic for its own good, and full of a slovenly, lo-fi Russian charm all its own, it suffers from plot overload throughout and weighs in at about 20 minutes too long.
Worth a look for more dedicated fans.
