Review of Day Watch (2006) by Matt B — 11 Mar 2011
While Night Watch wades into the water, its sequel dives in, and I don't mean plot-wise. This movie surpasses the first in editing, pace, and action. However, what keeps it from the top is the misplaced and poor music choices and the slightly overdone subplot tangle.
As with the first, the cinematography and acting are very well done, but sadly, like the first, most characters and their Other status were unexplained and undeveloped. Feels more like Wanted than Night Watch, but more fulfilling.
