Review of Day of the Woman (1978) by Peter M — 20 Nov 2007
A very unpleasant rape and revenge film about a writer seeking peace in the country side to write her next novel. Of course she runs into the local rednecks and get gang raped by all four of them. The rest you can probably figure out yourself.
This was made 30 years ago and stirred up a big stink of controversy banning it in most countries worldwide, turning this into a video nasty classic. Believe it or not this is regarded as a cult movie classic among feminists.
The acting is awful and production values stink a mile away. Still a brave film from the era of guerilla film making.
Strong stomachs required, so don't put this on if you are on first date trying to impress a girl.
