Review of Day of the Woman (1978) by Stuart E — 30 Mar 2008
This movie was awesome. You'll probably never see it, so let me spoil the entire thing for you. In order to write her first novel, Jennifer leaves the hustle and bustle of New York City for a cottage in the country.
There, she is promptly raped by four backwoods creeps. Jennifer takes her revenge, but instead of just killing these guys, she first seduces them. Honestly, how dumb do you have to be to have (consentual) sex with the woman you raped a couple of weeks ago? The best part was when she brings the gas station attendant (the first guy who raped her) back to her place.
She shows up at his gas station, and he hops in her car. He says to her "I told you that you were going to like it here." I know the first thing every rapist thinks when he sees his victim again is "Oh yeah, back for more!".
