I Spit on Your Grave remains one of the most classic examples of exploitation cinema. The rape scenes remain brutal, and the revenge scens become disturbing more from the glee and comedy crops up in them than from the actual torture and murder.
Overall, Zarchi's film proves important only historically and not aesthetically.
