Review of Day of the Woman (1978) by Zoran S — 06 Oct 2008

I liked this much better on second viewing. Though still very much technically inept (mainly with the sound), it is an odd film that turns the revenge/ rape fantasy on its head. It's not simply that the film gives us a vengeful female that makes it compelling; it's that it undercuts the rape fantasies of so many other vengeance films like Death Wish.
