I Spit on Your Grave is a slice of nastiness which is of a similar to Wes Craven's Last House on the Left. I Spit on Your Grave however isn't anywhere near as well made as Craven's film and apart from the obvious there isn't any real depth to it.
It is quite poorly put together and there are long periods of dull uneventful scenes. There isn't even any real empathy here. In Last House there was character and a sense of family and loyalty and different dynamics.
I Spit on Yout Grave is way to straight forward and not in the least bit sophisticated.
