Review of Day Night Day Night (2006) by Joshua B — 23 Apr 2009
This movie is so empty, cold and emotionless. No fear, no anxiety, no thrill, no peace.
The plot is ploddingly slow. With no action to carry the story, minutae become inane: a request for pizza, a nose that's too shiny, and a near-annoying obsession with hygiene. The fashion show is a joke and the complete lack of dialogue is nearly laughable.
No scoring, negligable ambiant sound, the stark nature of the film gives it no added gravity.
The most interesting scene is her recitation of facts about the false identity she's assuming.
