Review of Day for Night (1973) by Mathieu B — 31 Dec 2007
One of the movies I SHOULD have seen already, but kept putting off. Been wanting to see it for almost a decade. Considering how much has been said about this film in the years since it was made, I have only two sentences of my own to add.
This is one of the best films I've ever seen. The tagline on the cover reads "a movie for people who love movies," and it may be the truest tagline in cinema history.
Oh, and one more: Truffaut, casting himself as the character of the director, is brilliant.
