Review of Day for Night (1973) by Daniel S — 20 Jun 2010
By far my most favorite truffaut film, ive mentioned before how much I love movies about making movies, especially ones that go into great detail, and much like a documentary, this film shows all the aspects of the filmmaking process, the operatic score shows how making a movie is just like a opera with several pieces coming together to make something great (i just love le grand choral used here) truffaut is great as the director here, a sane man trying to get a film made out of all the insanity going on, I was rooting for him to finish the film, bisset is really good, tho I hated the alphonse character.
