Review of Dawn of the Dead (2004) by Baurushan J — 26 Feb 2013
Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames star as a nurse and a cop who are the only two survivors after the living dead has overflown from hell onto Earth. When they hide in a shopping mall and find a handful of other survivors including Jake Weber, Ty Burrell, Mekhi Phifer and Michael Kelly, they all decide that the only way to truly escape from their hometown is to make their way to an island that is supposedly zombie-free.
Although I have never seen the original Dawn Of The Dead and only Night Of The Living Dead. This movie is one hell of a powerful remake and remains the best zombie movie made ever. Screw Shaun Of The Dead and 28 Days Later and fuck Zombieland and the Resident Evil movies.
This is a true masterpiece. Directed by the then-newcomer Zack Snyder. Dawn Of The Dead (2004) gets a too good 10/10.
