Review of Dawn of the Dead (1978) by Julian T — 19 Dec 2011
Worthy remake of a genre classic, which, though it lacks the original's bleak cultural criticism, nonetheless delivers a gory, action-packed (though not particularly scary) apocalypse, with some smart lines and engaging characters.
There are a few odd elisions in the later stages, but the ride is thrilling enough that you're not too bothered by the exact route. Great fun.
