Review of Date Night (2010) by Matthew D — 21 Jul 2012
A hillarously likeable comedy starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell as two parents who, in a bid to spice up their love life, steal an another couple's dinner reservation, only to discover - The Triplehorns - are in fact involved with gangsters and within a half hour of the film, they are being chased by two gangsters waving guns through New York.
The lead's chemistry make up for the supporting star's mishaps, and goofs, but remains a solid comedy. Some jokes are hit and miss, but this film is hugely entertaining. Co-starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis (who both weirdly star in new Ted) and James Franco.
