Review of Date Movie (2006) by Lukechristiansc — 18 May 2015

The reason why audiences are laughing at this film is director Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg's unspeakable loathsome direction including their uncreative script. Alyson Hannigan is the new "Anna Faris" in this movie and Adam Campbell is like the new British white Marlon Wayans, we know Hannigan's character "Julia Jones" is lovely and caring, we know she has a heart it's just we don't care if she gets the guy! almost every actor in this movie was terrible their one liner's are so cheap and unfunny it's clever in a weird way i'll the give the screenwriters credit.

It's cheap and grotesque they don't work anymore the satire is old, the film makers are making a parody of them selves basically. I just don't get it why are Seltzer and Friedberg making a parody of good romance films and actions flicks? The film also mocks celebrities.
