Review of Date Movie (2006) by Justice F — 10 Apr 2014

It's hard to judge spoof movies fairly. It is either you hate or love them. Love to hate them is even an option. One thing that is for sure is that the two guys that made this movie and others that followed are so stupid and so ridiculous, you don't know what to think or if any thought actually went into them.

With Date Movie it was their first venture alone after the success of Scary Movie. I do have to say that this is the better of the movies they have made. It actually has some good actors, it makes some pretty good cracks at romantic movies, but most of all, it actually makes you laugh. Now laughing in comedies has levels. One is where you giggled. Two is where you have actual laughs more than once. Three, you laughed so hard you balls fell off. Three levels that goes with the rule of three in comedy.

I am not claiming that this is comedy gold or that you should run out and rent.... Err, well can't do that now with video stores done for... Or download this movie. I am saying that it's a late night movie to have on if nothing else strikes your fancy, because their movies just get worse from here.
